Horseback Riding in Hochatown / Broken Bow OK

It doesn’t matter if you’re a pro barrel racer OR you’ve never rode a horse before in your life – horseback riding through the Hochatown / Broken Bow area is an absolute must! What could be better then gorgeous views, a beautiful animal, putting your cell phone away – and enjoying the ride! You have two choices when it come to horseback riding – Riverman Trail Rides or Beavers Bend Train Depot + Horseback Rides. Below is the info for both!

Riverman Trail Rides

Located in the heart of the Ouachito Mountains, just 10 miles west of Broken Bow. Riverman Trail Rides has 20 horses, 4 Trail Bosses with 40 years of combined experience, and offer year round rides. The trails are not accessible to the general public. There is a minimum group of 2 riders, and each person will have to sign a liability waiver. Different rates are available depending on how long you’d like to ride, and how big your group is. You can check out their website below for pricing information. All rides are by reservation only.

Beavers Bend Train Depot + Horseback Rides

There’s two different activities available here – Train Rides & Horseback Rides! The train runs continuously all day, and lasts approx 15-20 minutes. It goes through the forest, and the river bend. Reservations aren’t necessary for the train rides. For horseback riding, guided tours start at 9:00am, and do require a reservation. The trail is around 2 1/2 miles long, and lasts appox 45 minutes. It’s an easy ride with no rough terrain or water crossings. There are concessions, a gift shop, and snowcones available.  They are open seven days a week (during summer) from 9am to ?. Closing time depends on customers.
